Can anyone shed some light on the user registration process?  I've narrowed the error down to the file expecting parameters from the old templating system and have commented that stuff out.  However, the fields in the registration form do not match the required fields in the "user setup" in the admin.

Has this issue ever been resolved or has the "user registration" process been totally abandoned due to security risks?

Thanks,

Josh

Josh - I don't think that portion is completely implemented b/c of the security risks you mentioned.  It could be created pretty easily but it wasn't worth the time for essentially a free product like bp blog b/c 99% of the people didn't use it.  If you need a system where the public can register and post blog entries then I would recommend a more robust blog system like wordpress. bp blog is a niche application for users using an asp only host.
