Will there ever be a browsing function added to the blog script? I mean like "Older post" at the bottom of the page?

Try this.

Find your default.asp page in the template folder (not the root one) and put this code right before the doctype html code:

Code:

Dim rsArticles_total
Dim rsArticles_first
Dim rsArticles_last

' set the record count
rsArticles_total = rsArticles.RecordCount

' set the number of rows displayed on this page
If (rsArticles_numRows < 0) Then
  rsArticles_numRows = rsArticles_total
Elseif (rsArticles_numRows = 0) Then
  rsArticles_numRows = 1
End If

' set the first and last displayed record
rsArticles_first = 1
rsArticles_last  = rsArticles_first + rsArticles_numRows - 1

' if we have the correct record count, check the other stats
If (rsArticles_total <> -1) Then
  If (rsArticles_first > rsArticles_total) Then
    rsArticles_first = rsArticles_total
  End If
  If (rsArticles_last > rsArticles_total) Then
    rsArticles_last = rsArticles_total
  End If
  If (rsArticles_numRows > rsArticles_total) Then

After this code:

Code:

  Repeat3__numRows=Repeat3__numRows-1
  lastdate = DoDateTime((rsArticles.Fields.Item("BlogDate").Value), 1, 1033)
  rsArticles.MoveNext()
Wend
%>

Paste this:

Code:
<table border="0" width="50%" align="center">
    <tr>
      <td width="50%" align="center"><% If MM_offset <> 0 Then %>
            <a href="<%=MM_movePrev%>">« Newer</a>

            <a href="<%=MM_moveNext%>">Older »</a>
            <% End If ' end Not MM_atTotal %>      </td>
    </tr>
  </table>

You can customize the Older/Newer code however you like, it's HTML mostly.

Thanks a bunch! Worked like a charm!

I could probably have done it myself, but it's always a pain to read someone elses code...  Smiley

Not completely working... Only works to go one page back, but then "Older" doesn't show anymore.
